The Freiherr von Pölnitz Foundation was established to secure Schloss Aschbach and its cultural landscape for future generations.

Over the past century, the family’s entrepreneurial spirit often came with financial risk – until much of the estate was lost. To protect what remained and ensure continuity, the family decided to transfer the castle, park, forest and inventory irrevocably into a charitable trust.

Today, the foundation manages these assets on behalf of the public, not for private gain.
